Hello all,
I was the chair of MWW'09, and I've been heavily involved with Magickal Winter Weekend from the beginning. My life has taken a turn for the very complicated. Like many people, this year has been hard on both my husband and my greater family. With the obligations I now face, I can no longer lead Magickal Winter Weekend, and MWW itself is canceled.
This was a very difficult decision for me. MWW has meant more to me than I could have imagined back in September 2005, when Diana Calihan emailed me and asked for help in Programming for the very first MWW. I have met some of my most important friends through MWW, and for that alone I would cherish it. The things that I've learned about myself are myriad. It's been an amazing journey.
Bethany Hermia wants to keep the community going, possibly with an annual room party at OryCon (www.orycon.org). Yay Bethany! I hope to see everyone there.
